Vicki Milewski founded and directed a Small School of Communication (Radio/TV Broadcasting) in Chicago's inner city. She has also created content for social media corporate and not for profit campaigns. What she has found is that the two are much the same. It's about forming then managing prosperous schools and companies
Vicki Milewski's decades worth of experiences can be boiled down to one word: "prosperity". Vicki defines "Prosperity" as the balance between work and life, finances and consumption, sustainability and comfort. Finding this balance is a daily effort and sometimes there is a beautiful flow and other times not. Creating, founding and directing 2 successful schools positions Vicki in a place she can explain what success looks like (did I hear the word prosperity again?) Creating, founding and managing successful companies surprisingly looks very similar!

"It was that first summer jobs programs we ran through our small school, mainly to keep our students safe over the violent summer, that helped me to see how similar a well run school and classroom is to a well run company and office.
This particular summer jobs program happened because of a grant Odis Richardson and I wrote so that our high school students could work with grade school students at the neighborhood library teaching reading skills.
